Teaching Yoga

After daydreaming about teaching yoga for years, I finally pursued and received my 200-Hour Hatha Teacher Yoga certification in January 2024 at Palisades Yoga in North Lake Tahoe. My yoga classes flow through poses and synchronize the breath with movement and music in a playful way that builds physical strength and encourages mindfulness. I love teaching yoga outside where you can feel the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze of the wind on your skin as you practice. I teach with The Courage Project and Tahoe Flow Arts & Fitness.

The June 15 class focuses around the Solar Plexus or Fire Chakra. This sequence is perfect for building the fire within you on a cold day
    09 Jun 2024 SUP Yoga • June 9 Stand Up Paddle Yoga is a series of fun class for all levels with flowing poses and breathwork to build stability, flexibility, and mindfulness. The June 9 class will follow an arc of opening awareness, warm-up stretch, balancing poses, inversions, grounding poses, and a closing. Bring a towel for a cold plunge following class.

    27 Jan 2024 Yoga for Joy and Peace This practice was created with you in mind, the being who deserves to feel happy, joyful and at peace without needing any other reason. This 60 minute yoga class begins with a centering meditation, moves you through sun salutation variations, with the intention of cultivating joy; and ends with a restorative practice centered around inner peace, relaxation, happiness. Using the body, breath and mind as a vehicle, this full body practice will guide you through a series of extending, back/forward bending, twisting, and inverted poses with the intention of connecting you with your heart space and inner being. Here, we emphasize poses and modifications of poses that focus on opening the heart to joy and peace.

    24 Nov 2023 Sun Salutation with Affirmations As part of my yoga instructor training, I wrote a sequence that incorporates movement, mantra recitation, and meditation to learn more about ourselves. I taught it in class with a large group of people, but I also repeat this regularly at home and outdoors.
    08 Oct 2023 Birthday Beach Yoga and Breathwork For my 40th birthday I organized a beach yoga class. The playlist was designed to bring awareness to the breath and the beauty of nature. It was awesome!
